IMPaCT concludes swimming coaching classes

A month long swimming coaching classes conducted by Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT) has been concluded today. The closing ceremony was held today at Hotel Prachi at about 10 a.m. Wherein Mr Kulamani Deo, IPS, Special Secretary-cum -Director of Secretariat security, Home Dept., Govt. of Odisha, Bhubaneswar and Vice Admiral (Retd.) S H Sharma were Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. Speaking on the occasion both Mr Deo and Mr Sharma highly appreciated such activities of IMPaCT and advised to continue the same in future. All the participating girls were given certificates for participation in the coaching classes and the winners in the competition were awarded with prizes.

It may be mentioned here that IMPaCT, under the management of the largest industrial house of the state IMFA Group, undertakes several activities towards promotion and encouragement of sports among young talents in the state. Every year swimming coaching class is being organised by the Trust for the last four years. This year's coaching classes started on 7th May and concluded today. About 40 girls within the age group of 10 to 15 years took part in it.

Besides the participating girls, their parent were also present in the closing ceremony. Some of the guardians suggested to increase number of girls in the coaching classes and also to conduct similar coaching classes for boys.

Convenor of IMPaCT, Mr S K Pattnaik; Organiser, Mr S Maqbool Ali; coach of the classes, Mr Kirtiyona Sharma also spoke on the occasion. Mr T C Hota, Vice President (Corporate Affairs) of IMFA Group thanked all. Mr M R Patnaik, Senior officer of IMFA managed the function.
